Fußball-Bundesligist VfB Stuttgart hat Bruno Labbadia als neuen Trainer verpflichtet. Dies teilte der Verein am Montag mit. Der 56-Jährige, der bereits zwischen 2010 und 2013 in Stuttgart an der Seitenlinie gestanden hatte, erhält einen Zweieinhalbjahresvertrag bis 2025.
Die abstiegsbedrohten Schwaben hatten sich Anfang Oktober nach einem historisch schlechten Saisonstart mit neun Spielen ohne Sieg in Serie von Trainer Pellegrino Matarazzo getrennt, bis zur Winterpause wurde die Mannschaft von Interimscoach Michael Wimmer betreut.
