Straßer bei WM-Generalprobe schon weit zurück
Skirennläufer Linus Straßer hat das Podium bei der WM-Generalprobe in Chamonix schon nach dem ersten Lauf aus den Augen verloren. Der Münchner hat nach einer soliden Fahrt ohne grobe Patzer als Achter vor dem Finale bereits 0,71 Sekunden Rückstand auf die Top drei.
Olympiasieger Clement Noel liegt auf Kurs Heimsieg. Der Franzose hat aber nur einen kleinen Vorsprung auf die Schweizer Ramon Zenhäusern (0,15 Sekunden zurück) und Daniel Yule (0,17).
"Es ist vom Untergrund her extrem leicht zu fahren. Da besteht die Gefahr, dass du den Ski nicht mehr beschleunigst, sondern nur auf der Kante fährst und ein bisschen hältst. Das ist mir passiert", sagte Straßer in der ARD: "Um schnell zu sein, bedarf es ein bisschen mehr Risiko."
Sein Aus beim jüngsten Torlauf in Schladming fahre mit, gab Straßer zu. "Im Slalom ist alles Kopfsache. Du willst schon durchkommen, keine Frage. Trotzdem habe ich mich aufs Skifahren konzentriert. Der Rückstand ist da, aber nicht katastrophal. Dafür gibt es zweite Durchgänge."
