Imola: Veranstalter glaubt nicht an Ersatz in diesem Jahr
Nach der Absage des Formel-1-Rennens in Imola aufgrund schwerer Regenfälle gehen die Veranstalter nicht von einer Ersatzveranstaltung noch in diesem Jahr aus. Der Automobil-Klub Italiens (ACI) hofft stattdessen auf eine Verlängerung des Vertrages um eine Saison. "Angesichts der Komplexität des Kalenders kann man davon ausgehen, dass die Ausgabe 2023 im Jahr 2026 stattfinden wird", sagte ACI-Präsident Angelo Sticchi Damiani: "Aber im Moment hat dies sicherlich keine Priorität."
Der Grand Prix der Emilia-Romagna sollte von Freitag bis Sonntag auf dem Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari stattfinden, die Region ist von den Unwettern in Italien aber schwer getroffen. Am Mittwoch fiel die Entscheidung, das Rennwochenende nicht wie geplant stattfinden zu lassen.
Offiziell machten die Formel 1 und der Automobil-Weltverband FIA allerdings noch keine Angaben zu einem möglichen Ersatztermin in diesem oder einem der kommenden Jahre. Der Vertrag der Rennstrecke in Imola war im vergangenen Jahr verlängert worden und läuft noch bis 2025. Der Kalender für die restliche Saison 2023 bietet kaum noch Raum für ein weiteres Rennen.
