Die Basketballer von Bayern München bangen um Nationalspieler Andreas Obst. Der EM-Dritte des vergangenen Jahres verletzte sich beim zweiten Sieg der Münchner im Play-off-Viertelfinale gegen BG Göttingen (87:85) am Donnerstag. Gestützt auf zwei Betreuer verließ Obst den Court, ob er bis zum dritten Spiel der Serie am Sonntag (15.00 Uhr/MagentaSport) wieder fit ist, war äußerst fraglich.
"Ich denke, die Verletzung von Andi hat uns emotional beeinflusst. Das Team wirkte wie ein platter Reifen in diesem Moment", sagte Bayerns Trainer Andrea Trinchieri bei MagentaSport: "Andi ist ein sehr wichtiger Spieler, und als er vom Court gehumpelt ist, hat das unser Momentum zerstört. Das Wichtigste ist aber, dass wir 2:0 führen. Alles andere ist egal."
Obst (26) war auf dem Parkett ausgerutscht und verletzte sich am Knie. Eine Diagnose stand zunächst aus. Der Dreierspezialist, nach der Verletzung von Mannschaftskapitän Vladimir Lucic Spielführer der Bayern, hatte seinen Vertrag in München erst im März bis 2026 verlängert. "Andi ist ein Eckpfeiler unserer Gegenwart und zugleich unserer Zukunft", sagte Sportdirektor Daniele Baiesi damals.
