Tuchel fiebert Hernandez entgegen - und "liebt" Cancelo
Trainer Thomas Tuchel fiebert bei Bayern München der Rückkehr von Lucas Hernandez entgegen und schwärmt zugleich von Joao Cancelo. "Ich kann es nicht erwarten, dass er mit uns auf dem Platz ist", sagte der Coach über Verteidiger Hernandez, der nach einem Kreuzbandriss seit Monaten fehlt. Leihspieler Cancelo "liebe" er, meinte Tuchel.
Es sei "jeden Tag beeindruckend, wie professionell" Hernandez an seinem Comeback arbeite, hob der Trainer hervor. "Er hat immer ein Lachen im Gesicht, ist immer positiv. Er steckt andere an, auch wenn er seit vielen Monaten in einer bescheidenen Situation verharrt. Für mich ist er ganz klar ein Führungsspieler."
Hernandez hatte sich die schwere Verletzung bei der WM in Katar mit der französischen Nationalmannschaft zugezogen. Zuletzt machte der 27-Jährige allerdings große Fortschritte. Er wird zur neuen Saison zurückerwartet.
Ob Cancelo dann noch in München oder wieder bei Manchester City spielt, ist offen. "Ich habe den Eindruck, dass er sich sehr wohl fühlt", sagte Tuchel, "aber am Ende gehören alle Parteien dazu." Heißt: City müsste den Bayern bei der Ablöse entgegenkommen.
"Das ist noch nicht entschieden und noch nicht besprochen. Aber ich liebe ihn, seine Qualitäten und seine Lust auf Training sind einzigartig", sagte Tuchel über den 28 Jahre alten Portugiesen.
Cancelo könne seine Fähigkeiten noch etwas mehr einzubringen. "Aber von seinem Herzen, von seiner Lust und seinem Potenzial her ist das absolut top", sagte der Coach: "Wir verlangen das über 90 Minuten. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass er da richtig Bock drauf hat."
