Hype hat Moukoko belastet
Der frühe Hype um seine Person hat Youssoufa Moukoko belastet. "Die Erwartungshaltung war viel zu hoch. In der Juniorenzeit haben die Leute immer gelesen, dass Moukoko wieder drei oder vier Tore geschossen hat. Aber: Heute zählt das gar nichts mehr", sagte der Jungstar von Bundesligist Borussia Dortmund den Ruhr Nachrichten.
Der Sprung in den Profi-Fußball war für Moukoko eine große Herausforderung. "Dieser Übergang in den Profibereich war sehr schwer. Fußballerisch war ich bereit, denke ich. Aber körperlich war ich damals mit 16 Jahren noch nicht bereit", sagte der 18-Jährige und fügte an: "Ich musste erst lernen, wie man in der Bundesliga erfolgreich spielt. Da konnte ich nicht mehr ab der Mittellinie loslaufen, dribbeln und schießen. Ich muss mich in allen Spielsituationen behaupten können und im Strafraum zur Stelle sein, wenn die Jungs die Chancen auflegen."
Moukoko hat inzwischen einige Rekorde geknackt. Unter anderem war er im Alter von 16 Jahren und einem Tag der jüngste Bundesliga-Debütant, mit 16 Jahren und 28 Tagen avancierte er auch zum jüngsten Torschützen der Liga-Geschichte. Er wolle immer neue und mehr Rekorde brechen, so der Jung-Nationalspieler: "Dazu sind Rekorde da. Das motiviert mich. Ich will der Beste werden, der ich sein kann."
Mit dem BVB kann Moukoko noch Meister werden. "Es wird Zeit, jeder ist hungrig", sagte der Stürmer, der derzeit über die Rolle des Einwechselspielers nicht hinaus kommt.
