Schiri Siebert sieht Pokalfinale als "Karriere-Highlight"
Schiedsrichter Daniel Siebert sieht die Leitung des DFB-Pokal-Finals zwischen RB Leipzig und Eintracht Frankfurt als "Karriere-Highlight". Die Vorfreude sei "riesig. Es ist nicht selbstverständlich, dass man das Pokalfinale pfeifen darf. Ich bin sehr dankbar für die Möglichkeit", sagte der 39-Jährige: "Ich bin Berliner. Als Berliner darf man nicht Hertha BSC pfeifen, es wird meine Pflichtspiel-Premiere im Olympiastadion."
Er sei "sehr aufgeregt" vor der Partie am Samstag (20.00 Uhr/ZDF und Sky): "Wir gehen fokussiert und konzentriert ran. Die Grundanspannung ist eh da. Ich werde nichts anderes machen als sonst." Er erwarte "ein Spiel mit offenem Visier und vielen intensiven Zweikämpfen. Es wird viele Umschaltmomente geben, da müssen wir Schiedsrichter hellwach sein", erklärte der 39-Jährige. Er hoffe, mit seinem Schiedsrichterteam nach dem Finale "kein Thema" zu sein.
Siebert hatte den Deutschen Fußball-Bund im vergangenen Jahr bereits als Referee bei der WM in Katar vertreten.
