Trotz guter Ausgangslage: Hoeneß will "Habt-Acht-Stellung"
Fußball-Bundesligist VfB Stuttgart geht trotz des komfortablen Vorsprungs gewarnt in das Relegations-Rückspiel gegen den Hamburger SV. Die gute Ausgangssituation nach dem überzeugenden 3:0 im Hinspiel sei "nur ein Etappenziel", sagte Trainer Sebastian Hoeneß vor dem "Finale" in Hamburg am Montag (20.45 Uhr/Sat.1 und Sky): "Der Druck ist weiterhin da, weil wir es im zweiten Spiel bestätigen müssen."
Nach dem souveränen Sieg im Heimspiel am vergangenen Donnerstag scheint der vierte Abstieg nach 1975, 2016 und 2019 für den VfB so gut wie abgewendet. Allerdings wäre es "fatal", warnte Hoeneß, "wenn wir jetzt ableiten, dass das Rückspiel wird wie das Hinspiel. Wir brauchen eine große Habt-Acht-Stellung."
Hoeneß erwarte von seiner Mannschaft, dass sie "wie im ersten Spiel scharf, konzentriert und fokussiert" auftreten wird, gerade weil der HSV "alles reinwerfen" werde. Verzichten muss der 41-Jährige erneut auf Fabian Bredlow. Der Torwart sei nach einer Innenbandzerrung "nicht bei 100 Prozent", sagte Hoeneß, "dann ist es ausgeschlossen, dass du so ein Spiel wie am Montag spielen kannst".
