Einzug ins Halbfinale: Djokovic macht seine Hausaufgaben
Tennisstar Novak Djokovic hat seinen Beitrag zum Traum-Halbfinale gegen Carlos Alcaraz bei den French Open geleistet. Gegen den russischen Olympiafinalisten Karen Chatschanow gab der Grand-Slam-Rekordsieger aus Serbien zwar erstmals im Turnier einen Satz ab, siegte letztlich aber souverän 4:6, 7:6 (7:0), 6:2, 6:4. Sein Hauptkonkurrent um den Titel, der spanische Weltranglistenerste Alcaraz, kann in der Night Session nachziehen.
Djokovic, der vor der Partie 29 Sätze in Folge auf Grand-Slam-Niveau gewonnen hatte, steht durch den Sieg zum zwölften Mal in Roland Garros im Halbfinale. Der Sieger von 2016 und 2021 peilt damit weiter den 23. Grand-Slam-Titel seiner Karriere an - bisher teilt er sich den Rekord mit dem verletzungsbedingt nicht teilnehmenden Spanier Rafael Nadal.
US-Open-Sieger Alcaraz trifft am Abend (nicht vor 20.15 Uhr/Eurosport) auf den griechischen Weltranglistenfünften Stefanos Tsitsipas.
