Superstar Lionel Messi (35) trauert seiner Zeit bei Paris St. Germain nicht nach. "Es waren zwei Jahre, in denen ich nicht glücklich war, ich mochte es nicht", sagte der Argentinier spanischen Medien, als er seinen Wechsel zu Inter Miami in die USA ankündigte.
Die zwei Jahre hätten sich auch "auf mein Familienleben" ausgewirkt, klagte Messi. Er habe "viel verpasst von dem", was seine Kinder erlebt haben. So habe der Weltmeister in Barcelona seine Kinder oft von der Schule abgeholt, in Paris "tat ich das viel weniger, ich teilte weniger Aktivitäten mit ihnen". Von nun an solle seine Familie im Vordergrund stehen.
Messi besitzt bereits ein Haus in Miami. Beim Klub von Miteigentümer David Beckham soll er 200 Millionen Euro verdienen: 50 Millionen pro Jahr für vier Spielzeiten, das berichtete die Zeitung Sport zuletzt.
Der MLS-Klub hatte sich in der Vorwoche von Phil Neville getrennt und Messis Landsmann Javier Morales zum Interimstrainer ernannt. Torwarttrainer Sebastian Saja ist ebenfalls Argentinier, Federico Higuain, der Bruder des ehemaligen argentinischen Stürmers Gonzalo Higuain von Real Madrid, ist Cheftrainer der Reservemannschaft von Inter und wird von seinem Landsmann Cristian Raul Ledesma unterstützt.
