Criterium du Dauphine: Vingegaard mit Etappensieg an Spitze
Tour-de-France-Gewinner Jonas Vingegaard (Team Jumbo-Visma) hat mit einem souveränen Tagessieg auf der fünften Etappe die Führung in der Gesamtwertung des 75. Criterium de Dauphine übernommen. Der Däne setzte sich nach 191,1 bergigen Kilometern von Cormoranche-sur-Saone nach Salins-les-Bains mit 31 Sekunden Vorsprung vor dem Franzosen Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-Quick Step) und dem Norweger Tobias Halland (Uno-X Pro Cycling Team) durch. Vingegaard löste damit seinen Landsmann Mikkel Berg (UAE Team Emirates) an der Spitze ab.
Jonas Vingegaard legte den Grundstein zu seinem neunten Saisonerfolg 15 Kilometer vor dem Ziel mit einem Zwischensprint über 3,6 Kilometer bei einer Steigung von 8,8 Prozent. Die Konkurrenz konnte mit dem Antritt des Favoriten nicht mithalten.
Der Ravensburger Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-hansgrohe) war als 28. mit einem Rückstand von 1:02 Minuten bester deutscher Profi. Die sechste Etappe führt das Feld am Freitag von Nantua über 170,2 Kilometer nach Crest-Voland. Die Rundfahrt endet am kommenden Sonntag.
