Kaution gezahlt: Alves darf Gefängnis verlassen
Kaution gezahlt, vorläufig frei: Der wegen Vergewaltigung verurteilte brasilianische Fußballstar Dani Alves darf das Gefängnis erst einmal verlassen. Die Kaution in Höhe von einer Million Euro ist beim Gericht von Barcelona eingegangen, dies teilte das Gericht am Montag mit. Alves ist solange auf freiem Fuß, wie über seine Berufung entschieden wird.
Am vergangenen Dienstag hatte Alves' Anwalt die Freilassung seines Mandanten beantragt. Dem Antrag war Mittwoch stattgegeben worden. Neben Zahlung der Kaution muss Alves seinen brasilianischen und spanischen Pass abgeben und wöchentlich vor Gericht erscheinen. Der Anwalt des mutmaßlichen Vergewaltigungsopfers hatte im Anschluss an den Gerichtsbeschluss zur Freilassung enttäuscht von einer "Justiz für die Reichen" gesprochen.
Alves, der in seiner Karriere unter anderen mit dem FC Barcelona und Paris St. Germain Titel in Serie gewonnen hatte, saß bereits seit Januar 2023 in Untersuchungshaft. Der einstige Weltklasse-Rechtsverteidiger war im Februar zu einer Gefängnisstrafe von viereinhalb Jahren verurteilt worden. Der 40-Jährige wurde von einem spanischen Gericht für schuldig gesprochen, im Dezember 2022 eine Frau in einem Nachtclub in Barcelona vergewaltigt zu haben.
