Nagelsmann redet über Major Tom - Chance auf EM-Hymne gering
Julian Nagelsmann hat in der Torhymnen-Diskussion über den 80er-Jahre-Welthit "Major Tom" keine besonderen Vorlieben. "Ich bin ehrlich: Ich schreie bei eigenem Tor immer so laut, dass ich die Musik immer sehr spät wahrnehme", sagte er vor dem Klassiker gegen die Niederlande am Dienstag (20.45 Uhr/RTL): "Ich klatsche mit 30 Leuten ab, dann ist es immer schon vorbei."
Tausende Fans bestürmen den Deutschen Fußball-Bund (DFB) seit Tagen vor allem bei Instagram und Twitter, künftig das Lied mit der eingängigen Zeile "Völlig losgelöst von der Erde" abzuspielen, wenn ein Tor fällt. Eine entsprechende Online-Petition fand Zehntausende Unterstützer. Bisher ertönt "Kernkraft 400" von Zombie Nation.
Zumindest bei der EM werden sich deutsche Torschützen aber wohl nicht "schwerelos" fühlen. "Die Tor-Jingle bei der EURO sind für alle Teams gleich und Bestandteile des offiziellen Songs der UEFA EURO 2024", teilte die Europäische Fußball-Union auf Anfrage der Sportschau mit. Aber: Verbände könnten "Vorschläge für Lieder zum Warm-Up und nach Abpfiff" einreichen.
