MBC-Profis in Quarantäne – BBL-Spiel in Ludwigsburg abgesagt
Beim Syntainics MBC aus der Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) haben sich acht Profis nach positiven Coronatests in Quarantäne begeben. Das gab der Klub aus Weißenfels am Donnerstag bekannt. Die für Samstagabend angesetzte Begegnung bei den MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg wurde abgesagt, da derzeit keine acht Stammspieler zur Verfügung stehen.
Den Betroffenen geht es nach Angaben des Mitteldeutschen BC "den Umständen entsprechend gut, sie zeigen keine oder nur milde Symptome". Die Quarantäne soll bis Ende der kommenden Woche gehen. Für das nächste Heimspiel am 6. Februar gegen die JobStairs Giessen 46ers hat der MBC bei der Liga einen Antrag auf Verlegung gestellt. Über diesen wurde noch nicht entschieden.
Am Mittwoch hatte die BBL mitgeteilt, dass in der Hinrunde trotz Corona 93 Prozent aller Spiele absolviert werden konnten. In Liga und Pokal fanden von 152 Spielen 141 wie angesetzt statt. Elf wurden aufgrund von COVID-19 bei Aktiven verlegt, fünf sind bereits neu angesetzt.
