Die Basketballer von Bayern München haben in der EuroLeague wohl auch ihre letzte Chance auf den Einzug in die Play-offs verspielt. Am 32. von 34 Spieltagen verloren die Bayern daheim gegen den FC Barcelona 79:87 (30:47) und können nach der 19. Niederlage nur noch rein rechnerisch Platz zehn erreichen.
Die Mannschaft von Trainer Pablo Laso geriet gegen den Tabellenvierten schon früh deutlich in Rückstand und kämpfte sich erst heran, als das Spiel eigentlich schon verloren war. "Wir haben es in der zweiten Halbzeit offensiv etwas besser gemacht, haben aber auch gegen ein großartiges Team gespielt", sagte Laso bei MagentaSport.
Beste Werfer der Bayern waren Nick Weiler-Babb und Serge Ibaka mit jeweils 17 Punkten.
