Trainersuche: Kane glaubt an "richtige Entscheidung"
Superstar Harry Kane hat bei der Trainersuche von Bayern München vollstes Vertrauen in die Verantwortlichen um Sportvorstand Max Eberl. "Der Verein muss die beste Lösung finden für Bayern München", sagte der englische Angreifer. Die Mannschaft habe "größten Respekt" für den im Sommer scheidenden Coach Thomas Tuchel und sei "sehr motiviert, mit ihm die Saison zuende zu spielen", ergänzte Kane: "Und wir wissen, dass die Entscheidung am Ende die richtige sein wird."
Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann, der bereits bis März 2023 beim deutschen Fußball-Rekordmeister tätig war, gilt aktuell als Topkandidat. "Ich kenne ihn nicht so gut und nicht persönlich", sagte Kane, die Mannschaft und er selbst konzentriere sich ohnehin viel mehr auf das Tagesgeschäft und das "große Spiel" im Viertelfinale der Champions League gegen den FC Arsenal (21.00 Uhr/DAZN).
"Wir haben eine große Chance", sagte Kane, "wollen die Saison am Leben halten und etwas Besonderes erreichen." Dass von ihm persönlich viel verlangt werde, sei dabei kein Problem. "Die Leute erwarten immer ein sehr hohes Niveau von mir - nicht nur Tore und Vorlagen, sondern auch, dass ich meine Erfahrung einbringe. Ich versuche, all das immer zu tun und alles zu geben."
Spiele gegen Arsenal seien für ihn als langjährigen Profi von Tottenham Hotspur "immer mit die größten in der Saison" gewesen, "da habe ich immer ein gewisses Feuer gespürt und wollte mich beweisen". So sei es auch jetzt wieder.
Und wenn es schief geht, die Bayern also erstmals seit 2012 keine Trophäe gewinnen? "Jeder will Titel holen, das ist immer das Ziel, man will der Welt zeigen, was man drauf hat", sagte Kane (30): "Aus Vereinssicht wäre es eine schlechte Saison, man erwartet von uns, dass wir Titel holen..."
