BVB: Ricken wird Geschäftsführer Sport - Mislintat zurück
Lars Ricken steigt überraschend zum Geschäftsführer Sport beim Fußball-Bundesligisten Borussia Dortmund auf. Der Held des Champions-League-Finals von 1997 übernimmt den Posten am 1. Mai und erhält einen Vertrag bis zum 30. Juni 2027. Das gab der BVB am Montag bekannt.
"Ich bin sicher, dass Borussia Dortmund mit den Geschäftsführern Thomas Treß, Carsten Cramer und Lars Ricken auch in Zukunft fachlich erstklassig aufgestellt sein wird", sagte Hans-Joachim Watzke, der Ende 2025 auf eigenen Wunsch aus der Geschäftsführung ausscheiden wird. Treß (Finanzen, Organisation und Recht & Investor Relations) und Cramer (Vertrieb & Marketing, Internationalisierung und Digitalisierung) hatten zuvor ihre Verträge bis Juni 2027 verlängert.
Sven Mislintat kehrt derweil am 1. Mai als Technischer Direktor mit dem Schwerpunkt Kaderplanung zum BVB zurück. Er soll direkt an Ricken und Sportdirektor Sebastian Kehl berichten. Die Zukunft von Kehl ist hingegen offen. "Bezüglich einer möglichen Vertragsverlängerung von Sebastian Kehl wird Lars Ricken im Sommer Gespräche aufnehmen", hieß es in der Mitteilung des Vereins. Ricken war zuletzt Nachwuchskoordinator der Dortmunder.
