Bahnrad: Teamsprint-Gold bei EM in München
Die deutschen Teamsprinterinnen haben dem Bund Deutscher Radfahrer (BDR) bei der Bahn-EM in München die nächste Goldmedaille beschert. Die Weltmeisterinnen Emma Hinze, Pauline Grabosch und Lea Sophie Friedrich gewannen am Freitag in 38,061 Sekunden im Finale gegen die Niederlande. Bronze sicherte sich das Trio aus Polen, das sich im Rennen um Platz drei gegen Frankreich durchsetzte.
"Es war eine super Teamleistung. Die Stimmung war Wahnsinn hier, wir konnten uns gut auf die 200-m-Bahn einstellen", sagte Grabosch in der ARD: "Es war ein sehr schönes Teamsprint-Turnier."
Auf dem ungewohnt kurzen 200-m-Oval in der Münchner Messe hatten Hinze, Grabosch und Friedrich ihre Favoritenstellung bereits zuvor mit deutlichen Bestzeiten in der Qualifikation sowie der ersten Runde untermauert.
Knapp eine Stunde vor dem Erfolg der Sprinterinnen hatte der Gold-Vierer von Tokio in der Mannschaftsverfolgung triumphiert.
