Musiala-"Fan" Hoeneß: Bayern-Youngster "muss gesetzt sein"
Uli Hoeneß hat sich als "großer Fan" von Fußball-Nationalspieler Jamal Musiala geoutet und mehr Einsatzzeiten für den Youngster in der DFB-Auswahl und bei dessen Klub gefordert. "Wenn er so spielt, muss er beim FC Bayern und in der Nationalmannschaft gesetzt sein", sagte der Ehrenpräsident des deutschen Rekordmeisters nach dem 3:3 (0:0) der DFB-Elf in der Nations League gegen England bei RTL.
Musiala (19) sei vor dem Spiel in der Öffentlichkeit regelrecht unter Druck gesetzt worden, sagte Hoeneß, "man hat ja gemeint, der Messias spielt jetzt bei der deutschen Mannschaft - und er hat dem Druck standgehalten".
Grundsätzlich ist der langjährige Bayern-Patron (70) mit seinen Münchnern allerdings aktuell nicht zufrieden. "Ich muss ganz klar sagen: Unsere Mannschaft hat zuletzt nicht gut gespielt, daran muss gearbeitet werden", forderte Hoeneß, eine Leistungssteigerung sei "dringend notwendig, sowohl für den FC Bayern als auch für die Nationalmannschaft".
Dass Stars wie in London Thomas Müller oder Serge Gnabry auf der Bank sitzen, seien "die Bayern-Spieler nicht so gewohnt", die Wochen bis zur WM in Katar (20. November bis 18. Dezember) böten aber "die Möglichkeit, sich in Form zu bringen. Wenn unsere Spieler Form kriegen, wird auch die Nationalmannschaft profitieren."
