Studie: Zahl der Verletzungen in Europas Top-Ligen gestiegen
In den fünf großen europäischen Fußballligen ist die Zahl der Verletzungen in der Saison 2021/22 um 20 Prozent gestiegen. Das geht aus einer am Mittwoch veröffentlichten Studie des britischen Versicherungsmaklers Howden hervor. Die Kosten der Vereine lagen demnach in Rekordhöhe bei rund 610 Millionen Euro.
Die englische Premier League (1231 Verletzungen, 938 in der Vorsaison) wies mit 219 Millionen Euro die höchsten Kosten auf, die Klubs in der Bundesliga (1205 Verletzungen, 902 in der Vorsaison) zahlten 82,77 Millionen Euro. 44 Prozent der Kosten entfielen laut der Studie dabei auf Meister Bayern München und Borussia Dortmund.
Die Verletzungskosten wurden berechnet, indem die Kosten pro Tag für einen Spieler mit der Anzahl der Ausfalltage multipliziert wurden. Der französische Meister Paris St. Germain wies mit über 40 Millionen Euro die höchsten Verletzungskosten aller Vereine auf.
Nach Ansicht der Spielergewerkschaft FIFPro müssen Strukturen geschaffen werden, um die Belastung der Spieler zu begrenzen. In diesem Jahr wird die Saison in den europäischen Ligen aufgrund der am 20. November beginnenden WM in Katar unterbrochen.
