Tischtennis-WM: DTTB-Frauen im Viertelfinale
Die deutschen Tischtennis-Frauen haben bei der Mannschafts-WM in Chengdu/China das Viertelfinale erreicht. Das Team von Bundestrainerin Tamara Boros setzte sich am Mittwoch gegen Puerto Rico mit 3:1 im Achtelfinale durch. In der Runde der besten Acht trifft Deutschland auf den Sieger des Duells zwischen Rumänien und Hongkong.
Ying Han setzte sich in ihren Partien gegen Melanie und Adriana Diaz ohne Satzverlust durch, auch Xiaona Shan gewann mit 3:0 gegen Daniely Rios. Lediglich Vize-Europameisterin Nina Mittelham musste sich mit 2:3 Adriana Diaz geschlagen geben.
"Für mich persönlich ist es schade, denn ich hätte mein Einzel gerne gewonnen. Das Wichtigste ist aber, dass wir als Mannschaft das Spiel gewonnen haben", sagte die 25-Jährige.
Die DTTB-Männer treffen am Donnerstag (11 Uhr MESZ) im Achtelfinale auf Kroatien.
