Bundesgerichtshof urteilt über Einstufung von Bild als mögliche NS-Raubkunst
Der Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) urteilt am Freitag (09.00 Uhr) in Karlsruhe über ein Kunstwerk, das als mögliche NS-Raubkunst gelistet ist. Das Bild von Andreas Achenbach wurde 1937 von dem jüdischen Kunsthändler Max Stern verkauft, bevor er nach der erzwungenen Aufgabe seiner Galerie nach Kanada auswanderte. 1999 wurde es in London von einem Kunstsammler ersteigert. Ein kanadischer Trust verwaltet Sterns Nachlass. Die Treuhänder veranlassten 2016 eine Suchmeldung für das Gemälde auf der Seite der Lost-Art-Datenbank. Diese dokumentiert Kulturgüter, die Verfolgten im Nationalsozialismus möglicherweise entzogen wurden. Interpol fahndete nach dem Bild. Der Sammler erfuhr davon erst bei einer Ausstellung und zog vor Gericht. Der BGH prüft nun, ob der Eintrag in der Datenbank und die Fahndung sein Eigentum an dem Gemälde beeinträchtigen.
