Partielle Sonnenfinsternis in Deutschland und weiteren Teilen der nördlichen Hemisphäre
Am Dienstag können Hobbyastronomen im größten Teil Europas sowie in Teilen Nordostafrikas und des Nahen Ostens eine teilweise Sonnenfinsternis beobachten. Das Phänomen, bei dem sich der Mond zwischen Sonne und Erde schiebt und damit einen Teil der Sonne verdeckt, beginnt um 10.58 Uhr (MESZ) in Island und endet um 15.02 Uhr in Indien. In Deutschland beginnt sie kurz nach 11.00 Uhr und ist für rund zwei Stunden zu sehen. Höhepunkt ist gegen Mittag.
Bei klarem Himmel und mit Hilfe besonderer Schutzbrillen lässt sich beobachten, wie sich der Mond ein Stück weit vor die Sonne schiebt. Experten warnen davor, ohne Schutz in die Sonne zu schauen - auch nicht bei Wolken - da dabei die Augen geschädigt werden könnten.
