Filmfestival von Cannes beginnt
In Cannes beginnt am Dienstag das Filmfestival. Erwartet werden in diesem Jahr zahlreiche Hollywood-Stars und ungewöhnlich viele deutsche Filmschaffende. Der Eröffnungsfilm "Jeanne du Barry" von der Französin Maïwenn erzählt eine Liebesgeschichte um den alternden König Ludwig XV., die männliche Hauptrolle spielt Johnny Depp.
Der deutsche Regie-Altmeister Wim Wenders ist mit zwei Filmen vertreten. Mit "Perfect Days" über einen japanischen Putzmann tritt er im Wettbewerb an, sein Dokumentarfilm "Anselm - Das Rauschen der Zeit" über den Künstler Anselm Kiefer läuft außer Konkurrenz. Die Goldene Palme wird am am 27. Mai verliehen. Vorsitzender der Jury ist der schwedische Regisseur Ruben Östlund.
