Die US-Schauspielerin Jennifer Garner will ihre Kinder nicht nur mit Verboten erziehen. "Ich beschütze meine Kinder am besten dadurch, dass ich sie die Welt erkunden und ihre eigenen Erfahrungen machen lasse", sagte die 51-Jährige der Illustrierten "Bunte" laut Vorabmeldung vom Dienstag. Sie möge es nicht, sie nur mit Verboten zu erziehen.
Streng sei sie aber im Bereich Bildung. Sie wolle, dass ihre Kinder lesen. "Aber ich tue auch etwas dafür, indem ich ihnen vorlese", fügte Garner hinzu. Sie mache das abends mit allen Kindern zusammen.
Ihre eigenen Eltern seien streng gewesen. In den 70er und 80er Jahren sei sie in den US-Südstaaten aufgewachsen. "Da konntest du dich als Mädchen nicht frei entfalten - das war der Normalzustand", sagte die Schauspielerin.
Garner hat mit dem US-Schauspieler Ben Affleck drei gemeinsame Kinder zwischen elf und 17 Jahren. Seit der Scheidung des Paars ist sie alleinerziehend.
