Freilaufendes Schaf legt Verkehr auf Autobahn in Rheinland-Pfalz lahm
Ein freilaufendes Schaf hat am Freitag den Verkehr auf einer Autobahn in Rheinland-Pfalz zeitweise lahmgelegt. Mehrere Autofahrer meldeten das Tier auf der A64 bei Trierweiler in einer Baustelle, wie die Polizei Wittlich mitteilte. Über mehrere hundert Meter verfolgten Polizisten das Kamerunschaf fußläufig über die Straße, bevor sie es an einer günstigen Stelle einfingen.
Es musste an allen Beinen gefesselt und beruhigt werden. Für den Einsatz musste die Autobahn über längere Zeit komplett gesperrt werden. Ein Pritschenwagen der Autobahnmeisterei brachte das Schaf zu einem nahegelegenen Tierarzt. Es blieb unverletzt.
Ob und wenn ja wem es gehört, blieb unklar. Möglicherweise handelt es sich um ein herrenloses Tier, eine Ohrmarke hatte es nicht. Die Beamten wiesen darauf hin, dass der mögliche rechtmäßige Besitzer das Schaf bei der Tierarztpraxis abholen kann.
