Wirtschaftsnobelpreis: Goldin sieht weiter große Ungleichheit der Geschlechter
Die diesjährige Trägerin des Wirtschaftsnobelpreises, Claudia Goldin, sieht ihre Auszeichnung als wichtige Würdigung für die Erforschung der Rolle von Frauen am Arbeitsmarkt. Der Nobelpreis sei bedeutend "für die vielen Menschen, die in diesem Bereich arbeiten", sagte Goldin am Montag der Nachrichtenagentur AFP. Tatsächlich gebe es "große Veränderungen" bei der Arbeitsmarktintegration von Frauen, "aber immer noch große Unterschiede bei der Bezahlung".
Das Nobel-Komitee in Stockholm hatte zuvor die Auszeichnung für die 77-jährige Harvard-Professorin bekanntgegeben. Goldins Forschung habe die Ursachen des Wandels der Geschlechterrollen am Arbeitsmarkt "sowie die Hauptursachen für die verbleibenden geschlechtsspezifischen Unterschiede" aufgezeigt, erklärten die Juroren. Die US-Forscherin ist erst die dritte Frau, die den Wirtschaftsnobelpreis erhält.
