"Oppenheimer" holt Oscar für besten Film - Regie-Preis für Christopher Nolan
Triumph für "Oppenheimer" bei den Oscars: Das biografische Epos über den Erfinder der Atombombe hat den Preis für den besten Film sowie noch weitere sechs Trophäen abgeräumt. So gewann der "Oppenheimer"-Macher Christopher Nolan bei der 96. Oscar-Verleihung am Sonntag (Ortszeit) in Hollywood den Preis für die beste Regie. Der Ire Cillian Oppenheimer, der den US-Physiker Robert Oppenheimer darstellt, wurde als bester männlicher Hauptdarsteller geehrt.
Die deutsche Schauspielerin Sandra Hüller, die für ihre Hauptrolle in dem französischen Justizthriller "Anatomie eines Falls" nominiert war, ging leer aus. In dieser Kategorie gewann die US-Schauspielerin Emma Stone für ihre Rolle in der skurrilen Frankenstein-Adaption "Poor Things".
Hüller konnte sich aber darüber freuen, dass die britische Produktion "The Zone of Interest", in der sie ebenfalls eine Hauptrolle spielt, den Oscar für den besten internationalen Film gewann. Die 45-Jährige stellt darin die Ehefrau des Auschwitz-Kommandanten Rudolf Höß dar.
"The Zone of Interest" setzte sich unter anderem gegen das deutsche Schul-Drama "Das Lehrerzimmer" von Regisseur Ilker Catak und die japanische Produktion "Perfect Days" durch, die von dem deutschen Regie-Altmeister Wim Wenders gedreht wurde.
Den Oscar für den besten männlichen Nebendarsteller gewann Robert Downey Jr. für "Oppenheimer". Der 58-jährige spielt darin den Politiker Lewis Strauss, einen Widersacher des Nuklearphysikers. Den Preis als beste Nebendarstellerin holte Da'Vine Joy Randolph für ihren Auftritt in "The Holdovers".
