Sturz vom Brett vor den Augen von Macron: Wasserspringer nimmt's mit Humor
Ausgerechnet vor den Augen von Präsident Emmanuel Macron ist ein französischer Wasserspringer vom Drei-Meter-Brett ins Schwimmbecken gefallen - und hat es mit Humor genommen. Nachdem sein missratener Abgang ins Nass für reichlich Aufsehen in den Online-Netzwerken sorgte, erklärte Alexis Jandard am Freitag: "Mir geht es wirklich gut - und auf den Bildern sieht es beeindruckend aus."
"Der Sturz war lächerlich", sagte der bei den Olympischen Spielen in Paris auf eine Medaille hoffende Jandard dem Fernsehsender BFMTV. So etwas passiere Wasserspringern immer wieder einmal, vor allem im Training. "Aber diesmal war es vor den Augen des Präsidenten bei der Einweihung des Beckens. Es war der unpassendste Moment."
Macron hatte am Donnerstag der Einweihung des olympischen Wassersport-Zentrums in Paris beigewohnt. Dabei sollte Jandard mit zwei anderen Sportlern einen Synchronsprung vorführen. Er verlor jedoch den Halt, fiel mit dem Rücken und dem Hintern aufs Sprungbrett und platschte anschließend ins Wasser.
