Ehrenpreis für Michael Bully Herbig bei Bayerischem Filmpreis
Der Regisseur und Schauspieler Michael Bully Herbig erhält den Ehrenpreis des Bayerischen Filmpreises. Bayerns Ministerpräsident Markus Söder (CSU) wird ihm den Preis am 16. Juni im Münchner Prinzregententheater überreichen, wie der Bayerische Rundfunk am Dienstag in München mitteilte.
Der in München geborene Schauspieler, Drehbuchautor, Regisseur und Produzent sei "so erfolgreich wie kaum ein anderer deutscher Filmschaffender", hieß es zur Begründung. Söder würdigte Herbig als "ideensprühendes Multitalent". Mit seinen bisherigen neun Regiearbeiten habe er mehr als 33 Millionen Menschen in die Kinos gelockt.
Nach seinen Anfängen als Radiomoderator wurde Herbig vor allem durch die Fernsehshow "Bullyparade" sowie die Filme "Der Schuh des Manitu" und "(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1" bekannt. Als Regisseur widmet er sich mit Projekten wie "Ballon" und "Tausend Zeilen" auch ernsten und zeitgeschichtlichen Stoffen.
Der seit 1979 vergebene Bayerische Filmpreis gehört in der deutschen Filmbranche zu den wichtigsten Auszeichnungen. Ehrungen können unter anderem in den Kategorien Regie, darstellerische Leistung, Drehbuch, Kamera oder Filmmusik vergeben werden.
Zusätzlich kann der bayerische Ministerpräsident einen Ehrenpreis verleihen. Frühere Preisträger sind zum Beispiel die Regisseure Roland Emmerich und Wim Wenders sowie die Schauspieler Hannelore Elsner und Bruno Ganz.
