Scholz bekennt sich zu Kindergrundsicherung - und bittet um Geduld
Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) hat um Verständnis dafür gebeten, dass seine Regierung die Details der geplanten Kindergrundsicherung noch nicht geklärt hat. "Wir haben auch noch viele andere Reformvorhaben, denn es gibt einen großen Reformstau in Deutschland", sagte Scholz am Mittwoch in der Regierungsbefragung im Bundestag. Die Ampel-Parteien hätten aber das Projekt Kindergrundsicherung im Koalitionsvertrag festgeschrieben und würden es auch umsetzen: "Das ist das gemeinsame Projekt der Koalition", beteuerte Scholz.
Bei diesem Projekt gehe es darum, "dass die Leistungsansprüche, die da zur Verfügung stehen, auch tatsächlich benutzt werden", sagte Scholz. "Wir wissen zum Beispiel von dem Kinderzuschlag, dass der nur zu knapp 30 Prozent genutzt wird - und das ist bitter, wenn man weiß, dass es um Familien geht, die wirklich arm sind, obwohl ein Elternteil oder beide Elternteile arbeiten", fügte der Kanzler hinzu. "Das wollen wir und das werden wir ändern." Die Grundsicherung solle deshalb möglichst unbürokratisch sein.
Sozialverbände hatten zuvor kritisiert, dass die Ampel-Parteien nach ihrem Koalitionsausschuss keinerlei Aussagen zur Zukunft der Kindergrundsicherung getroffen haben. "Die 'Ampel' vertagt die Zukunft der Kinder auf den Sankt Nimmerleinstag", erklärte der Präsident des Kinderschutzbundes, Heinz Hilgers. Die Einführung der Kindergrundsicherung, mit der bestehende familienpolitische Leistungen zusammengeführt und ausgebaut werden sollen, brauche einen längeren zeitlichen Vorlauf, mahnte er.
