Ski-WM: Gold-Duell zwischen Pinturault und Schwarz
Die Topfavoriten Alexis Pinturault und Marco Schwarz duellieren sich bei der alpinen Ski-WM um die Goldmedaille in der Kombination. Der 31-jährige Franzose Pinturault, Weltmeister von 2019 und Zweiter von 2021, geht mit dem dünnen Polster von 0,06 Sekunden auf Titelverteidiger Schwarz (27/Österreich) in den Slalom-Lauf von Courchevel um 14.30 Uhr.
Bei den Titelkämpfen 2021 hatte Schwarz nach dem Super-G sogar 0,32 Sekunden Rückstand - am Ende lag er vier Hundertstelsekunden vor Pinturault. "Die Ausgangslage passt, ich werde im Slalom noch mal alles geben", sagte Schwarz im ZDF.
Loic Meillard (Schweiz), WM-Dritter 2021, liegt bereits 1,34 Sekunden hinter Pinturault und hat kaum mehr Chancen auf Gold. Das gilt erst recht für Olympiasieger Johannes Strolz (Österreich/2,48).
Simon Jocher, vor zwei Jahren in Cortina d'Ampezzo starker Fünfter, leistete sich einen gröberen Schnitzer und war 1,39 Sekunden langsamer als "Zweikampf"-Experte Pinturault. Der Garmischer, der sich bei einem kapitalen Sturz zu Saisonbeginn verletzt hatte, hat aber noch eine Platzierung unter den besten Zehn im Blick.
