Eiskunstlauf-WM: Schott überrascht als Siebte
Dank einer fehlerfreien Kür hat Nicole Schott (26) bei den Eiskunstlauf-Weltmeisterschaften im japanischen Saitama einen überraschenden siebten Platz belegt. Die siebenmalige deutsche Meisterin aus Essen erzielte mit insgesamt 197,76 Zählern auch die höchste Punktzahl ihrer bisherigen Karriere.
Die Goldmedaille ging an Titelverteidigerin Kaori Sakamoto. Der 22 Jahre alten Japanerin am nächsten kamen Lee Haein aus Südkorea sowie die Belgierin Loena Hendrickx.
