Erneute Selke-Auswechslung nervt Baumgart
Drittes Spiel, dritte frühzeitige Auswechslung: Trainer Steffen Baumgart vom Fußball-Bundesligisten 1. FC Köln hat genervt auf das nächste verletzungsbedingte Aus von Stürmer Davie Selke reagiert. "Irgendwann geht es einem auf die Eier", sagte Baumgart nach der 1:2 (0:0)-Niederlage seiner Mannschaft gegen den VfL Wolfsburg: "Die letzten drei Wochen waren für alle nicht zufriedenstellend."
Bereits im DFB-Pokal beim VfL Osnabrück (3:1 n.V.) sowie beim 0:1 in der Liga bei Borussia Dortmund war Selke unter Schmerzen frühzeitig vom Platz gegangen. Gegen die Niedersachsen baute Baumgart wieder von Beginn an auf den Stürmer - nach 25 Minuten griff sich der 28-Jährige dann an den rechten Oberschenkel.
"Davie hatte die ganze Woche gut trainiert, und zwar richtig gut", begründete Baumgart seine Entscheidung. Der Kölner Trainer sei nicht der, "der Leute einfach reinwirft", zweimal habe es aber nun "nicht das gebracht, was wir uns vorgestellt haben".
Auch der Blick auf die Anzeigentafel dämpfte die Stimmung in der Domstadt. Mit zwei Niederlagen aus zwei Spielen ist der Kölner Fehlstart perfekt. "Am Ende bleibt es dabei: Du musst zu 100 Prozent da sein, nicht zu 99", sagte Baumgart: "Der letzte Tick fehlt einfach."
