Mit einem sehenswerten Schuss in den Winkel (90.) sicherte der Leipziger dem Team von Trainer Luis Enrique ein 2:1 (0:0) gegen Albanien. Die Furia Roja ließ acht Monate vor dem WM-Start aber noch viele Wünsche offen.
