Toter Fußball-Fan bei Ausschreitungen in Argentinien
Schwere Ausschreitungen und der Tod eines Fans haben am Donnerstagabend für Bestürzung im argentinischen Fußball gesorgt. Vor dem Erstliga-Duell zwischen Gimnasia y Esgrima und den Boca Juniors aus Buenos Aires hatte es zunächst Zusammenstöße zwischen der Polizei und Anhängern außerhalb des Stadions gegeben. Ein 57 Jahre alter Mann starb später an einem Herzinfarkt, das bestätigte Sergio Berni, Sicherheitsminister der Provinz Buenos Aires.
Die Vorfälle hatten sich bald ins Stadioninnere ausgebreitet, berichtete ein Offizieller laut der Nachrichtenagentur AFP: "Rund 10.000 Menschen wollten noch ins Stadion hineinkommen, einige mit Tickets, andere ohne. Jeder konnte sehen, dass das Stadion voll war." All dies werde nun untersucht, auch "das Vorgehen der Polizei".
Die Sicherheitskräfte setzten Tränengas und Gummigeschosse ein, um die Menschen daran zu hindern, die Arena zu betreten. Das Tränengas zog auch ins Stadion und über das Spielfeld, Fans versuchten sich daraufhin auch auf dem Rasen in Sicherheit zu bringen. Nach knapp zehn Minuten wurde das Spiel offiziell abgebrochen.
"Man konnte nicht mehr atmen", sagte Schiedsrichter Hernan Mastrangelo: "Die Situation geriet außer Kontrolle, es gab keine Sicherheitsgarantien mehr." Laut lokalen Medien wurden zahlreiche Fans aufgrund des Kontakts mit Tränengas ins Krankenhaus gebracht, ein Kameramann wurde zudem von einem Gummigeschoss getroffen.
Erst am vergangenen Samstag hatte in Indonesien eine der schwersten Sportstadion-Katastrophen der Geschichte 131 Todesopfer gefordert. Dort hatten etwa 3000 Fans das Spielfeld gestürmt, der Einsatz von Tränengas löste anschließend eine Massenpanik aus.
