Kanzler Scholz besucht auf Südamerika-Reise zuerst Argentinien
Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) bricht am Samstag zu einer viertägigen Reise nach Südamerika auf. Erste Station ist am Abend Argentinien (Ankunft 19.00 Uhr Ortszeit/23.00 MEZ), wo Scholz zunächst mit Präsident Alberto Fernandez zusammenkommt. Geplant ist dann ein Abendessen mit Vertretern der argentinischen Wirtschaft. Scholz wird auf seiner ersten Reise als Bundeskanzler nach Lateinamerika von rund einem Dutzend deutschen Unternehmensvertretern begleitet.
Am Sonntagabend reist Scholz dann weiter nach Chile, am Montag und Dienstag steht Brasilien auf dem Programm. Ziel der Reise sind auch neue Partnerschaften im Bereich der Lieferung von Rohstoffen und Energieträgern. Damit soll Deutschlands Versorgung etwa bei Seltenen Erden unabhängiger von Ländern wie China gemacht werden. Scholz will die Besuche auch nutzen, um die deutsche Position im Ukraine-Krieg zu erläutern.
