Rund jeder zehnte Hochschulabsolvent macht Abschluss in Gesundheitswesen
Rund jeder zehnte Absolvent einer Hochschule oder Fachschule in Deutschland hat seinen Abschluss in der Fächergruppe Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen gemacht. Der deutsche Schnitt von 9,5 Prozent liegt dabei deutlich unter dem OECD-Durchschnitt von 13 Prozent, wie das Statistische Bundesamt am Mittwoch in Wiesbaden mitteilte. Anders als in Deutschland sind Pflege- und Sozialberufe in vielen OECD-Staaten eine akademische Qualifikation im tertiären Bildungsbereich. Dazu zählen Bachelor- oder Masterabschlüsse sowie berufsorientierte Abschlüsse wie der Meister.
Während der Coronapandemie rückten Fächergruppen wie Pädagogik in den Blickpunkt. 13,5 Prozent aller tertiärer Abschlüsse lagen in diesem Bereich, der OECD-Durchschnitt lag bei 12,3 Prozent. Zu dieser Fächergruppe gehören in Deutschland Abschlüsse im Bereich der Erziehungswissenschaft sowie Lehramtsausbildungen. Der Anteil bei Informatik und Kommunikationstechnologie lag in Deutschland mit 4,2 Prozent leicht unter dem OECD-Durchschnitt von 4,8 Prozent.
Im Bundesländervergleich war der Anteil der Fächergruppen Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen mit 7,6 Prozent in Baden-Württemberg am niedrigsten und mit 13,4 Prozent in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern am höchsten. Pädagogik lag mit 17,8 Prozent in Sachsen-Anhalt auf dem ersten Platz, Schlusslicht war Hamburg mit 9,5 Prozent. Berlin lag mit 6,4 Prozent im Bereich Informatik und Kommunikationstechnologie vorn. Auf dem letzten Platz landete Thüringen mit 2,7 Prozent.
88,6 Prozent aller Absolventen eines tertiären Bildungsabschluss im Bereich Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen hatten 2021 einen Job. Im Bereich Informatik und Kommunikationstechnologie waren es 90,8 Prozent, bei der Pädagogik 87,2 Prozent. Alle drei Werte lagen über dem OECD-Durchschnitt. Auch die Zahl der Beschäftigten aller tertiären Bildungsabschlüsse insgesamt lag mehr als zwei Prozent über dem Schnitt der Staaten der Organisation für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (OECD).
Im Ländervergleich schwankten die Zahlen. Die Beschäftigungsquoten im Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen reichten von 86,1 Prozent in Rheinland-Pfalz bis zu 92 Prozent in Sachsen. Bei der Pädagogik variierte sie zwischen 85,6 Prozent in Sachsen und 89,9 Prozent in Brandenburg. In Berlin lag die Quote bei Informatik und Kommunikationstechnologie mit 86 Prozent deutlich hinter Thüringen mit 95,9 Prozent.
