Staatsanwaltschaft fordert zwei Jahre Haft auf Bewährung für frühere KZ-Sekretärin
Im Prozess gegen einen frühere Sekretärin des NS-Konzentrationslagers Stutthof hat die Staatsanwaltschaft am Dienstag eine Jugendstrafe von zwei Jahren Haft auf Bewährung gefordert. Die 97-jährige Irmgard F. habe durch ihre Arbeit in der Lagerverwaltung Beihilfe zum grausamen und heimtückischen Mord an mehr als zehntausend Menschen geleistet, sagte Staatsanwältin Maxi Wantzen vor dem Landgericht im schleswig-holsteinischen Itzehoe. Der Beitrag der Angeklagten zu den Abläufen im KZ sei "wesentlich" gewesen.
Im Lager Stutthof bei Danzig hatte die SS während des Zweiten Weltkriegs mehr als hunderttausend Menschen unter erbärmlichen Bedingungen gefangen gehalten, darunter viele Juden. Etwa 65.000 starben nach Erkenntnissen von Historikern. Das Lager war berüchtigt für die absichtlich völlig unzureichende Versorgung der Gefangenen. Die meisten Menschen starben an Seuchen, Entkräftung und Misshandlung. Es gab jedoch auch eine Gaskammer und eine Genickschussanlage.
F. war laut Anklage von 1943 bis 1945 als Zivilangestellte in der Verwaltung des Lagers beschäftigt, wo sie als Sekretärin und Stenotypistin arbeitete. Da sie zu dieser Zeit zwischen 18 und 19 Jahren alt war, findet das Verfahren gegen sie vor einer Jugendkammer statt. Wantzen nannte es am Dienstag ein Verfahren "von herausragender historischer Bedeutung". Der Prozess wird am 29. November mit den Plädoyers der Nebenklage fortgesetzt.
