18-Jährige spielt zum ersten Mal Lotto und knackt Millionen-Jackpot
In Kanada hat eine 18-jährige Studentin zum ersten Mal im Leben einen Lottoschein ausgefüllt - und direkt einen Jackpot von 48 Millionen Dollar (32 Millionen Euro) gewonnen. Juliette Lamour aus Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario hatte das Lotterielos auf Vorschlag ihres Großvaters gekauft. "Er sagte 'Du bist gerade 18 geworden, (...) kauf dir ein Los und versuche dein Glück'", sagte die Biologiestudentin.
Da sie noch nie zuvor Lotto gespielt hatte, musste Lamour aus dem Lottogeschäft ihren Vater anrufen und ihn fragen, was genau zu tun sei. Laut der Lotteriegesellschaft der Provinz Ontario OLG ist Lamour die jüngste Gewinnerin eines derart großen Jackpots in der Lotterie-Geschichte Kanadas.
Die Studentin hatte ihr Los nicht überprüft und wurde erst hellhörig, als sie erfuhr, dass der Gewinnschein in Sault Ste. Marie gekauft worden war. Ein Kollege prüfte daraufhin den Schein über die OLG-App - und Lamour konnte ihr Glück kaum fassen.
