58-Jähriger stirbt nach Polizeieinsatz in Stuttgart
Ein 58-Jähriger ist nach einem Polizeieinsatz in Stuttgart gestorben. Die Todesursache sei allerdings unklar, teilte das baden-württembergische Landeskriminalamt am Mittwoch mit. Demnach war der Mann am Sonntagabend im Stuttgarter Stadtbezirk Bad Cannstatt aufgefallen, wo er eine 20-Jährige aus noch unklarem Motiv attackierte. Dabei verbiss er sich auch in ihrem Bein.
Ein weiterer Mann und eine Frau kamen der 20-Jährigen zu Hilfe. Dadurch ließ der 58-Jährige von seinem Opfer ab und flüchtete. Auch alarmierte Polizisten seien unmittelbar von dem Mann angegriffen worden. Weil er sich trotz mehrerer Versuche nicht habe beruhigen lassen und Widerstand geleistet habe, seien ihm Handschellen angelegt worden.
Kurz darauf habe plötzlich die Atmung des 58-Jährigen ausgesetzt. Rettungskräfte brachten den Mann in ein Krankenhaus, wo er etwa eine Stunde später aus zunächst unklarer Ursache starb. Laut einem ersten Obduktionsergebnis gebe es keinen Hinweis für eine Fremdeinwirkung, hieß es. Ein inneres Geschehen liege nahe. Die Staatsanwaltschaft gab eine toxikolgische Untersuchung in Auftrag.
