Zwei Tote und vier Schwerverletzte bei Unfall auf hessischer Landstraße
Bei einem Verkehrsunfall mit mehreren Autos auf einer Landstraße in Hessen zwei Menschen getötet und vier weitere schwer verletzt worden. Nach Angaben der Polizei übersah ein mit zwei Insassen besetzter Wagen am Mittwoch bei Schlüchtern beim Überholen eines Lastwagens ein entgegenkommendes Auto und stieß mit diesem zusammen. Das Verursacherfahrzeug wurde außerdem gegen einen weiteren Wagen geschleudert, zusätzlich kam ein Motorradfahrer vor der Unfallstelle zu Fall.
Wie die Polizei in Offenbach weiter mitteilte, starben die beiden Insassen des überholenden Autos im Alter von 36 und 58 Jahren. Insgesamt vier Menschen in den beiden anderen in den Unfall verwickelten Autos im Alter zwischen 32 und 46 Jahren wurden demnach schwer verletzt in Krankenhäuser gebracht.
Der Fahrer des bei einer Notbremsung gestürzten Motorrads blieb hingegen unverletzt. Gleiches galt für den Fahrer eines weiteren Autos, das durch umherfliegende Trümmer getroffen und beschädigt wurde.
Der Lastwagenfahrer bemerkte das Unglück hinter sich laut Polizei offenbar nicht und fuhr weiter. Die Landstraße war für fünf Stunden gesperrt, die Ermittlungen zur Klärung der genauen Unglücksabläufe liefen. Auch ein Gutachter wurde hinzugezogen.
