Gulf Labs, Part of Thailand’s $27 Billion GULF Group, Goes Live as an Injective Validator
The multifaceted collaboration combines network validation, tokenization and stablecoins, national distribution, education, and institutional infrastructure.
Gulf Labs, the blockchain and digital-asset investment venture of GULF Holding, is expanding into institutional onchain finance through a new collaboration with Injective. Gulf Labs operates within a broader business ecosystem of Gulf Group, one of Thailand’s largest conglomerates with an approximately $27 billion market capitalization and major businesses across energy, telecommunications, digital assets, cloud, and data centers.
Gulf Labs is now live as an institutional validator on Injective, giving the collaboration an operational foundation from day one. The broader collaboration contemplates potential tokenization and stablecoin initiatives with Thai institutions, national education channels, and infrastructure access through Gulf Edge.
The collaboration brings together the principal components required to develop an institutional onchain market: blockchain infrastructure, access to financial institutions, regulated digital-asset services, consumer distribution, market education, and local computing capacity. Gulf Labs will operate an institutional-grade Injective validator, help secure the network, and participate in protocol governance. Its role as a validator gives GULF Holding direct exposure to the operation and development of the network underpinning the company’s wider institutional work.
Building from that technical foundation, Gulf Labs will provide access to new relationships for Injective with Thai banks, corporates, issuers, and digital-asset companies evaluating tokenized assets, stablecoin settlement, and other onchain financial products.
“Thailand already has the financial institutions, digital-asset market, consumer connectivity, and infrastructure needed to become a major center for onchain finance,” said Sireethorn Vorasuthika, Director of Gulf Labs. “What has been missing is a way to bring those capabilities together. Our validator gives Gulf Labs a direct role in the Injective network, while the wider collaboration allows us to work on institutional products, market access, education, and infrastructure as part of the same strategy.”
Dr. Korn Poosiriwong, Head of AI Business, Gulf Edge and Director of Gulf Labs, added: “This collaboration reflects Gulf Labs’ vision to build a strong foundation for Web3 infrastructure. We remain focused on transforming next-generation technologies into practical, large-scale applications.”
The collaboration will also extend beyond institutional product development. Binance TH is operated by Gulf Binance, a joint venture between Gulf Edge and an affiliate of Binance. The company provides digital-asset exchange and brokerage services under licenses issued by Thailand’s Ministry of Finance and supervision by the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission. Collaboration with Binance TH will explore market education, user engagement, and potential opportunities connecting institutional onchain products with Thailand’s regulated digital-asset market.
Gulf Labs will also connect Injective with Gulf Edge to evaluate data-center capacity, cloud services, AI compute, and other infrastructure requirements. These discussions are intended to give developers and institutions considering deployments in Thailand a direct route to local infrastructure and technical support.
GULF Labs’ position within the broader Gulf group ecosystem gives the collaboration reach across several of the industries shaping Thailand’s digital economy. Gulf Group’s businesses include power generation and renewable energy, telecommunications, digital assets, cloud services, and data centers. Through Gulf Labs, those capabilities can be connected with a blockchain network built specifically for financial applications.
Injective provides infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized assets, stablecoins, payments, trading markets, and other financial products. Its native permissions framework allows institutions to define ownership requirements, transfer restrictions, administrative roles, and issuance and redemption controls at the protocol level.
The validator establishes technical participation and alignment at the network level. Institutional introductions will allow Injective and Thai market participants to identify tokenization and stablecoin applications tied to real financial activity. The Binance TH channel will support education and distribution, while Gulf Edge will give companies evaluating Thai deployments a route to local data-center, cloud, and AI infrastructure.
“Gulf Labs’ position within the broader Gulf Group ecosystem provides relevant connections across financial services, regulated digital-assets, national consumer distribution, and physical digital infrastructure into one group,” said Injective COO, Mirza Uddin. “Gulf Labs is already operating an Injective validator, so this collaboration begins with live network participation. From that base, we can work with Thai institutions on tokenization and stablecoins, bring education to users across the country, and support companies that want to build and operate in Thailand.”
This structure allows the companies to work across the full lifecycle of an onchain financial product: from the blockchain on which it is issued, to the institutions that create and use it, the regulated platforms and channels through which it reaches the market, and the infrastructure supporting its operation.
The collaboration also expands Injective’s institutional activity in Asia. Injective recently inked a deal with POSCO International, South Korea’s largest trading company, and LG CNS on a proof of concept involving trade receivables generated through real commercial operations. The pilot was the first of its kind that showcased the issuance, transfer, administration, and settlement of trade receivables on Injective alongside compliance controls and automated document review.
