Der FC Barcelona ist im neuen Jahr weiterhin nicht zu stoppen. Bei der Rückkehr des erneut treffsicheren Robert Lewandowski in die Startelf siegte der spanische Fußball-Topklub am Mittwochabend auch im Ligaspiel bei Betis Sevilla mit 2:1 (0:0). Die Katalanen gewannen seit dem Jahreswechsel sämtliche neun Pflichtspiele in La Liga, Copa del Rey und im spanischen Supercup.
Lewandowski lief nach seiner Drei-Spiele-Sperre wieder auf, blieb lange Zeit blass und traf nach einer Ecke doch noch zum Endstand (80.). Zuvor hatte Raphinha (65.) Barcas 16. Ligasieg im 19. Spiel eingeleitet. Der deutsche Nationaltorhüter Marc-Andre ter Stegen wurde selten geprüft, für den Gegentreffer sorgte Jules Kounde mit einem Eigentor (85.).
Spitzenreiter Barcelona baute seinen Vorsprung damit aus, acht Punkte Abstand sind es nun auf Real Madrid. Der Erzrivale kann am Donnerstag (21.00 Uhr) im Heimspiel gegen den FC Valencia verkürzen.
