Hertha BSC geht mit Dardai in die 2. Liga
Pal Dardai bleibt auch in der 2. Fußball-Bundesliga Trainer seines Herzensvereins Hertha BSC. Der Klub bestätigte die weitere Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ungarn "auch in der kommenden Spielzeit" am Donnerstagmorgen. Zur Seite stehen werden Dardai die Assistenten Tamas Bodog und Admir Hamzagic, mit denen er bereits im Endspurt der abgelaufenen Saison zusammengearbeitet hat. Zum Trainingsstart bittet Dardai am 26. Juni.
"Wir freuen uns, dass Pal den blau-weißen Neuanfang als Cheftrainer mitgestalten wird. Er lebt Hertha BSC und ist mit seinem Fleiß, seiner Hingabe und seiner Leidenschaft für unseren Verein der richtige Mann für die kommenden Herausforderungen, die wir zusammen bewältigen werden", sagte Sportdirektor Benjamin Weber.
Dardai sprach in einer Mitteilung von "guten und ehrlichen" Gesprächen und zeigte sich "sehr zufrieden und glücklich." Er spüre das Gefühl, "dass wir alle gemeinsam zum Wohl von Hertha BSC arbeiten, arbeiten wollen und arbeiten werden."
Der 47-jährige Dardai war Mitte April für die Rettungsmission für seine dritte Amtszeit als Cheftrainer auf die Bank der Herthaner zurückgekehrt, verhinderte den siebten Bundesliga-Abstieg der Vereinsgeschichte aber nicht mehr.
