Österreichische Schauspielerin Christiane Hörbiger ist tot
Die österreichische Schauspielerin Christiane Hörbiger ist tot. Sie starb im Alter von 84 Jahren, wie die österreichische Nachrichtenagentur APA am Mittwoch unter Berufung auf ihren Sohn Sascha Bigler berichtete. Hörbiger war sieben Jahrzehnte auf zahlreichen Theaterbühnen, im Fernsehen und auf der Kinoleinwand zu sehen und galt als eine der beliebtesten Schauspielerinnen im deutschsprachigen Raum.
"Mit ihr verliert unser Land eine seiner beliebtesten und vielseitigsten Schauspielerinnen", sagte der österreichische Bundespräsident Alexander Van der Bellen. "Die einprägsame Art, mit der sie ihre Rollen anlegte, wird Theater- und Filmbegeisterten stets in guter Erinnerung bleiben."
Am 13. Oktober 1938 in Wien als Tochter des Schauspielerehepaares Paula Wessely und Attila Hörbiger geboren, gab Hörbiger 1959 in Lessings "Nathan der Weise" am Burgtheater ihr Bühnendebut. Es folgten Engagements in Heidelberg und Salzburg, ab 1967 war Hörbiger Mitglied des Ensembles am Schauspielhaus Zürich.
Der große Durchbruch gelang ihr in den 1980ern mit der TV-Produktion "Das Erbe der Guldenburgs". Es folgten Fernseherfolge wie "Julia" oder die Literaturverfilmung "Besuch der alten Dame". Im Kino feierte sie etwa mit Helmut Dietls viel gelobter Filmsatire "Schtonk!" (1992) über den Skandal um die Hitler-Tagebüche Erfolge. Für ihre Rolle in Reinhard Münsters Filmkomödie "Alles auf Anfang" (1993) und in dem Film "Tafelspitz" (1992) erhielt sie den Deutschen Filmpreis.
Außerdem bekam die 2004 zur Kammerschauspielerin Gekürte den Bayerischen Fernsehpreis für ihr Lebenswerk, den Adolf-Grimme-Preis und die Goldene Kamera für ihr Lebenswerk. Insgesamt umfasst Hörbigers Werk rund 130 Film- und TV-Produktionen.
